Class starts June 30th, for 10 weeks
Transform your relationship with clothing by learning to create beautiful, well-fitted garments from scratch. This 10-week course is designed for aspiring dressmakers ready to dive into garment construction.
We'll start with the fundamentals by making a basic button-down shirt, then progress to additional garment projects as you build confidence and skills. You'll master essential techniques including various seam types, buttonholes, zippers, professional finishing methods, and the art of working with commercial sewing patterns.
What You'll Learn:
Garment construction from start to finish
How to read and work with commercial patterns
Pattern fitting techniques to ensure your clothes actually fit your body
Basic alterations and adjustments to customize any pattern
Professional seaming and finishing techniques for polished results
This class assumes you have basic sewing machine familiarity, though true beginners with determination are welcome. By the end of 10 weeks, you'll have the skills and confidence to tackle most garment patterns independently.
Class starts June 30th - Limited to 10 students for personalized instruction.
Classes are held on Mondays from 9:30 to 12 pm for 10 weeks
